Official: Letter Dated August 14th 2018 from Vicar General of the Diocese of Burlington

“Reverend Sahaya Paul Siluvai Sebastian,

Reverend and Dear Father Paul:  On behalf of the Most Reverend Christopher J. Coyne, Bishop of Burlington, by virtue of this letter, I wish to give you official notification that effective August 15th, 2018, the Solemnity of the Assumption, you are appointed Parochial Vicar to Reverend Timothy P. Naples, Pastor of Most Holy Trinity Parish, Barton, and St. Andre Bessette Parish, Troy, Vermont.”

Diocesan Synod Update:

Please pray for the Diocesan Synod, meeting October 13th, October 27th, and November 10th. Our parish delegate for the synod is Rose Bathalon. Fr. Naples is a member of the synod tor present the Northeast Kingdom Deanery. The synod’s task to make concrete recommendations to bishop Coyne, for the potential implementation throughout the whole Diocese, in three very crucial priorities:

  1. The work and goal of evangelization
  2. Building vibrant parish communities
  3. Communication

Safe and Sacred

Safe and Sacred is the new child safety training program for adults in the Diocese of Burlington, replacing VIRTUS and Shield the Vulnerable.  As completely online program, Safe and Sacred is designed to make training accessible and convenient for both the program user and the administrators.  The training program is now available for use by parishes, schools, and other Catholic organizations.
